Sponsor a Child in Uganda for Just $10/Month – Change a Life

A few days ago, I received a heartfelt message from Pastor Twesige Selegio, Director of Wilma Fox Child Development Centre (CDC) in Uganda. He asked if I could help sponsor a child in Uganda for just $10 a month. Though I couldn’t donate right away, I decided to learn more about their work—and what I discovered truly touched my heart.

Sponser a Child in Uganda

🌍 Wilma Fox CDC is a registered community-based organization located in Kyenjojo District, western Uganda. Since 2018, this center has been rescuing and nurturing orphaned and abandoned children, especially those affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty, and neglect. Their mission is to give these children a chance to live with dignity, hope, and purpose.

Currently, the center houses 60 children—all of whom are still waiting for someone to step in as a sponsor. Just $10 per month can provide:

  • Access to education and personal development
  • Nutritious food and healthcare
  • A safe and loving environment
  • Spiritual, social, and emotional growth

These children are not just being sheltered—they are being prepared for a brighter future, with the potential to become leaders, change-makers, and contributors to their communities.

Wilma Fox CDC Projects That Need Support:

Water Project:

Clean water is still a big challenge in the area. Many surrounding villages fetch water from open wells, often shared with animals—making it unsafe. Wilma Fox CDC needs support for a mini water project that will serve both the orphanage school and the local community.

Coffee Planting for Sustainability:

To secure long-term support for the children, Wilma Fox CDC has initiated a coffee plantation project. With over 25 acres of land, they aim to become self-sustainable within 3–5 years while also teaching valuable agricultural skills to the youth.

Orphanage Development:

The current home for the 60 children started as a humble mud house. Through the generosity of supporters like Ignacio (Nash) Ortiz from Houston, Texas, a new orphanage house was built. However, the center still urgently needs a kitchen, latrines, rainwater harvesting tanks, more land for farming, and additional housing for more orphans.

Advocacy for Marginalized Groups:

Beyond children, the center also works to support youth, women, people living with disabilities, and addicts. They are working toward building an accommodation and recovery center to help these individuals reintegrate and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Why I’m Sharing This

I may not be able to donate at the moment, but sharing this story is my way of supporting. Maybe someone reading this can be the miracle one of these children is waiting for.

Sponsor a child in Uganda today—and become a part of something truly meaningful.
